Lecture notes for last week are finally available here.

Tomorrow and Wednesday there will be a vote in your respective lecture sections on whether to replace the future quizzes by homework assignments. Specifically, the proposal is:

-- The marking scheme will remain unchanged as far as quizzes already written are concerned. (This includes the possibility of replacing them by marks on the term test.)

-- Going forwards there will be no quizzes but instead weekly homework assignments, each worth 6% of the final mark, hence each exactly replacing one quiz. The possibility of replacing these marks by marks on the term test or final is dropped.

The problems for this week (which will become this week's assignment if the foregoing proposals are approved) are available here. Going forwards, assignments will be posted sometime on Monday and will be due the following Monday at 12:00 noon EDT, unless otherwise indicated.

This week in class we will talk a bit more about conformal maps and then move on to talk about integrals, and in particular the Cauchy integral formula and theorem. Suggested sections to read in preparation were given in last week's announcements.
