All,

I have uploaded lecture notes from yesterday's lecture here. In particular there is material here which is probably useful for this week's assignment.

The supplementary notes on the Poisson kernel had an error which was small in terms of ink space but very big conceptually, and is now fixed (x and y in the argument of f in equation (3) should have been x' and y'). Thanks to Stanislav for pointing this out and my apologies to everyone who was perplexed by it! Also, problem 6 on the final review sheet did not work out the way I had intended so I have added a problem 7 (which unfortunately means the other numbers were all shuffled...) which is closer to what I had intended problem 6 to be like.

It has come to my attention that some of you were able to evaluate some of the definite integrals from previous homework assignments without using contour methods. Please make sure you also understand how to do these integrals using the methods studied in this class as I may specifically require you to use those methods when evaluating integrals on the final.

I think I have now responded to almost everyone -- my apologies for taking so long, and thank you for your patience. I will send out details about the alternate sitting tomorrow. If any of you have sent me an e-mail and have not heard back yet, please contact me again (you don't necessarily need to resend the original e-mail as I should still have it somewhere, though you can if you like).

Finally, due to an oversight on my part all of the answers to question 1 on the homework for July 13 -- 17 were marked according to the revised question. If any of you lost marks because you answered the original question instead, and have not already been in contact with me about it, please send me an e-mail as soon as possible so that I can correct the matter.

Please let me know if you have any questions!

Nathan
