All,

Solutions to last week's practice problems are now available here.

The quiz this week will be done on Quercus. There is a practice quiz available so you can familiarise yourself with the format prior to the actual quiz: Sample quiz. The actual quiz will be in the same format -- you will be given a question and asked to write out and submit an answer. It will show up under 'Quizzes' in your tutorial Quercus page (NOT the main Quercus page where the above sample quiz is located!).

This week's quiz will open at 15 minutes prior to the end of your tutorial. You will have 10 minutes to write out the quiz and then an additional 5 minutes to submit. You are required to cease writing at the end of 10 minutes and it is an academic offense to keep writing after that point.

You are allowed to use notes you have written, notes from either of the instructors, and the online textbook. You are not allowed to use any other sources. You are also not allowed to communicate with anyone other than an instructor or a TA about the quiz until you have submitted your solution.

It is an academic offense to distribute the quiz question. This includes uploading it to another website.

If you run into connection or other technical issues during the quiz send me an e-mail at ncarruth@math.toronto.edu immediately. If you have your solution ready but are unable to submit it, please e-mail it to me immediately. Under no event should you attend lecture or discuss the quiz with anyone until you have submitted your quiz solution.

Please let me know if there is anything unclear in the foregoing, or if you have questions about anything else!
