Our first class will start in a bit less than an hour!

Class today will be on Bb Collaborate, which is accessible on Quercus from the left-hand navigation bar. There are two sessions -- please make sure you click the one for Tuesday, not Thursday! It should open at 5.45 and I will plan on being online by 6.00 at the latest. Generall I am happy to stay afterwards to answer questions but unfortunately on Tuesdays I have another commitment immediately after class so I can only stay for a couple minutes longer. On Thursday though I am happy to stay until whenever.

You are able to speak (if you like) and post chat messages (if you like) but I have disabled video and file sharing.

All class sessions will be recorded (though the recordings will generally only be made available as described in the syllabus). If you have any concerns about my recording the lectures, please let me know. Also please be advised that there might be persons outside of the class in attendance; again, if this raises any concerns with regards to privacy or other matters, please let me know.

Please do your best to log on to today's lecture. If you are unable to due to connectivity issues, and expect this to be a recurring problem, please let me know.

The current semi-final version of the syllabus is available here. In particular I have decided to add a term test in order to make the quiz weight less and to give more feedback by the middle of the class.
