All,

I have uploaded lecture notes for yesterday's lecture here. These are not intended to substitute for attendance at class, or to replace the textbook, but merely to provide something of an exposition of what we talked about in class. In particular, my hope is that they will be a fast read for anyone who understood everything we talked about yesterday, and clarify any points of confusion for those who understood a lot but not quite everything.

Owing to the turnaround time required, I cannot guarantee that the lecture notes are free of typos or confusing passages. If you spot any of these, or any other infelicities, in this or future sets of lecture notes, or if you have any suggestions as to content or format, please feel free to bring them to my attention.

Please remember that there is WeBWorK homework due tomorrow morning at 8.30. See you all tomorrow in class!

Nathan
