I apologise for doing this so late in term, but I have finally updated your quiz marks to take account of excused absences and other issues with quiz marks with which I was familiar. Please review the marks on Quercus and let me know if you see anything wrong (such as a quiz which you thought was excused but which I have not yet processed). Otherwise the marks as currently listed on Quercus will be the ones used for determining the final course mark.

Two extra notes: I scaled Quiz 5 by a factor of 1.2, without cutoff (meaning that the few of you who got over 8 wound up with a bit of extra credit for that). For those of you who had excused absences for the quizzes, the dropped quiz will be handled as follows: the missed quizzes will be replaced with a mark equal to the average on the remaining quizzes, and then the lowest of the resulting 9 marks will be the one dropped.

I will put out another announcement once I have submitted the final marks (probably sometime late tonight or early tomorrow morning). I am almost finished marking the final -- I am not allowed to release anything specific to any of you before you receive your marks on ACORN, but I will say that it looks like I will have to adjust the marks upward rather heavily. If anyone has any thoughts about the final exam's difficulty, I would be glad to hear.
