I have updated Homework 6 as I inadvertently made problem 2 far too difficult. The updated version of problem 2 (problem 1 hasn't changed) should be more manageable, given what we did in class yesterday.

After class yesterday it occurred to me that the due date for the homework really needs to be uniform across the class so that I have a fixed time at which I can release the solutions. So, I will adjust the due date to next Wednesday, June 19, at 6.00 AM (particularly given how long it took us to get to the material yesterday which is necessary to do it).

I will post lecture notes for this week soon. In the meantime the recommended sections are useful.
