Homework 3 has now been marked. I apologise again for finishing it so late and hope that the comments I gave were helpful -- please let me know if there is still anything which is not clear!

Homework 4 is now posted here. It will be due next Monday, June 3, at 6 AM EDT, as usual.

Office hours and tutorial (including the quiz) will be held tomorrow as usual. In class tomorrow we will talk about separation of variables for Laplace's equation in spherical coordinates, and derive Legendre's equation. On Thursday we will continue our study of solutions to Laplace's equation. It would be helfpul to review 4.2 through 4.2.3 for tomorrow, and 4.3 for Thursday. I will probably post some extra notes about Legendre polynomials sometime on Wednesday which it would also be useful to review for Thursday (though we may not actually get to the material until next week).
