All,

Assignment 2 is now available here. It is (at least superficially) shorter than assignment 1. (Please note that you only need to do one -- not both -- of problems 3 and 4; if you do both I may only look at one of them.) Please let me know if there are any questions or if you find any typographical or other errors!

For tomorrow, please make sure you know the material on complex numbers here, and review sections 0.3, 1.1, and 1.5 in the textbook. (By `review' here I mean -- at least -- look through to make sure you have something of an idea of what is there. I do not mean that I expect you to master everything in the sections -- and in fact there is material in them which we will not cover.)

For Thursday, please review the material in sections 0.2, 3.1.1, 3.1.2, 4.1.1, the first part of 1.6 (before 1.6.1), and 1.6.5. I will explain in class tomorrow what my goal is in having you read sections which are so far apart in the text.

Office hours tomorrow are 1-2 in Bahen 2139. Please remember also that tutorials start tomorrow, and that there will be a quiz in tutorial tomorrow also.

See you all tomorrow!

Nathan
